When the disciples asked Jesus what would be the sign of his return, he did not leave them nor us in the dark as we read of the myriad of things which first must come to pass as we read of it in Matthew 24:3-31. Immediately after we read all of the signs he then says “Now learn the parable of the fig tree; when his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled”.(Matthew 24:32-34).

So how do we know we are near or in the generation of the fig tree? We have always had wars and pestilences in the world, so why is our time different to say…
